Best of a Billion
The Music Discussion Show searching for the best song on Spotify.
Every Friday our panel of guests meet to decide upon the outcome of "song duels". In a Duel, two songs are played back-to-back, after which the panel discusses the songs and decides upon the favourite of the two.
This will progress to the next round, where it will compete with more songs, for the chance of becoming the ultimate champion - the Best of a Billion. The song with the least votes will be knocked out forever!

The Format
Each Show, we listen to about 6 Duels. The songs are randomly picked from our list of songs. The list is generated as follows:
- Every artist that has at least one non-explicit song with over a billion streams on Spotify is added to the list (452 songs*)
- The song with the most streams is picked for each artist, which is the only song that will be entered from that artist. (This is not always possible, and collaborations are listed under the first credited artist).
This process leaves 256 songs, and hence the competition takes the form of a knock-out tournament. Songs are also given a score (based upon the votes), so songs knocked out in the same round can be compared.
